"These fallen heroes represent the character of a nation
who has a long history of patriotism and honor -
and a nation who has fought many battles
to keep our country free from threats of terror."

The Numbers Game...

Sketch and I estimate that the total cost of building this bike is going to be approximately $45,000. We need half of that to start construction.

We're not even close yet.

Granted, we're still in the early stages, but the project is an intensely personal one for both of us. Sketch, certainly, has a more keen knowledge of what the loss means than I do. But it's personal, nonetheless.

We're batting around ideas like images, fundraising...we're in the concept stage at the moment.

At some point in the future, we'll have a store set up so that you can purchase items that will help us fund the bike. I'm hoping to have some specific news on that over the next month.

Sketch is committed to listing donors (with their permission) on a display to be shown with the bike. Military regulations impose certain limitations with regard to what can be displayed on the bike, but we'll certainly be sure to give credit where credit is due.

Certainly, if there is a specific Hero to be honored through a donation, we'll be sure to make that fact known wherever the bike is displayed.

This project is striking a chord with a number of people - bikers like Sketch and me, and others. I'm hoping you'll want to be a part of this project. If you do, no amount is too small - every bit is greatly appreciated - and very much needed.

The reality is, it can't happen without your help.
